I am a dynamic IT professional with a diverse ever-changing background and a passion for cybersecurity and system administration. After graduating from Westminster College with a Bachelor of Science degree, I embarked on a journey of continuous learning and professional growth. I completed a 3 semester course to obtain my CCNA certification from PennState, while working as an application developer for a local government in Florida. During this time, I developed my skills in .NET framework, utilized a headless CMS to streamline website management, and gained hands-on experience with AWS.I then committed to further my expertise by earning the CompTIA Security+ certification. Subsequently, I secured a grant to undergo Machine Learning Model training and obtain the CompTIA CySA+ certification at the University of West Florida, successfully passing the exam. This then put me into a contract position with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement as a System Security Administrator.In this role, I collaborated closely with Networking, Infrastructure, and Software departments to implement security measures in alignment with compliance standards such as FDLE and NIST. Leveraging technologies like VMware vSphere and Citrix, I administered our Active Directory domain controllers, managing user accounts, groups, and GPOs efficiently. I also facilitated external consultations to ensure adherence to compliance measures and implemented multi-factor authentication across internal systems.
