Tables are loaded using a Bulk Copy Procedure (BCP) or linking tables to external files.• Created a series of SQL Queries against Veeva tables and views which are used to train new developers and analysts on the working ways with the company.

Responsible for managing offshore resources for the development of applications and overall operations of several Master Data Management (MDM) systems. These systems include customer and account data warehouses, territory and sales rep management, and customer to territory alignment systems used by US and Canadian Pharmaceutical Sales Forces.• Meet with business owners to gather requirements, document user stories, develop programming specifications, design database tables and views, and backlog prioritization. • Mange new functionalities and enhancements to the MDM systems using Agile Sprints. Track 4-week sprint cycles using JIRA. Track Configuration, Change and Incident Management for the MDM systems using ServiceNow. • As part of overall operations, used Value, Flow and Quality (VFQ) methodologies to drive continuous improvement to the MDM systems. Significant improvements achieved by reducing the number of tables and views needed by over 50 percent. Delivery time of weekly data to downstream systems was improved by 24 hours. Reducing the processing time for targeted applications from 7 ½ hours to less than 90 minutes. • Led team in migration of MDM databases from Oracle 12 to Oracle 19 and moved data from legacy systems to cloud based solutions.

Two-year project: Roll out of Windows 10 migration of software/data for Sales Reps and in-house staff currently in the implementation stage. Manage testing efforts and planning for the migration of all applications used by US Pharmaceutical business owners from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Responsibilities for this project include working with application owners at multiple sites to manage, test and modify their applications to run under Windows 10. Provide weekly updates to senior IT management in the US, as well as the Windows 10 Global Project Team. This is a constantly evolving project:Responsible for managing three off-shore resources. Service sales and marketing applications, provide subject matter expertise for sales and marketing systems to other IT staff, monitoring and operation of websites used by medical professionals in the US and Canada to obtain medical information about GSK prescription brands and vaccines, order samples and registration to attend webinars. Planning releases for updates (new functions, user friendly, etc.). Fix issues with programs and resolve Help Desk tickets. Conduct quarterly reviews with the business owners of the GSK websites; reviews cover software releases, metrics for meeting Service Level Agreements and discuss/plan new releases for the next quarter. Work with external vendors to exchange data over secure file networks. Data is used by external vendors to execute GSK marketing campaigns, as well as allowing GSK Sales Reps to meet state requirements to call on healthcare professionals in hospitals.Designed and developed repeatable processes to compare promotional targeting lists against the customer master databases and remove targeted health care professionals that did not meet legal and contractual requirements. Worked on several projects to develop and enhance applications used by medical professionals and in-house staff using Agile sprints and tracking progress using JIRA Kanban Boards.

Review systems documentation to ensure that documents are up-to-date and meet required company standards. Documents include system access plans, system design details, compliance requirements, and risk assessments.Supported various sales and marketing applications used by field Sales Reps in their territories. Responsibilities included development and maintenance of programs, testing of applications using defined testing practices and investigation and resolution of issues reported by Sales Reps escalated from the Field Sales Help Desk. Tested and modified UNIX applications using Oracle databases for Y2k. Designed and developed various applications that were used to meet federal and state reporting requirements as well as FDA regulations. Integral team member for the combined applications used by Sales Reps for territory management when SmithKline Beecham and Glaxo Wellcome merged into GlaxoSmithKline. Ongoing training provided to Sales Reps on the use of the new applications at regional meetings throughout the country.Accomplishments:During promotional campaigns: Saved GSK over $1.7 million in direct mail and email charges over a 3-month period.

Nairobi, Kenya

Six-month on-site project. One of 100 people selected world-wide to work with Non-Government Organizations (NGO's) who partner with GSK in developing countries. Assignment was with the African Medical Research Foundation (AMREF) where IT knowledge and expertise were shared with the staff at AMREF, to include creating business and technical documentation for new and existing systems, creating repeatable processes for reconciling budgets from country offices with the approved board budgets, evaluating and recommending changes to their websites, and mentoring junior IT staff at their headquarters office.

Salem, New Jersey

Responsible for the development, maintenance and support of sales and marketing applications for sales representatives and external distribution customers. Project Leader responsible for migrating multiple applications from IBM ES9000 platform to IBM AS400 platform. Trained Sales Reps and external distribution customers throughout the country on the use of new applications. Redesigned an incentive program for selected customers to award bonus points for sales of specific products in lieu of merchandise and travel rewards. Redesigned the Sales Analysis System for both internal and external customers from a monthly based system to an accounting-based system which allowed users to compare actual sales to a projected sales budget.
