 Formulate, implement and evaluate effective educational programs on Morongo Reservation while emphasizing curriculum development, assessment and accountability: Little Creators Preschool, Morongo School, In-School and After-School Tutoring (Recipient Harvard’s Honoring Nations Award), Alternative Education, Adult Education, Library, Scholarships, Computer Lab, Summer Program and Cultural Heritage. Identify student academic and development needs for the various education programs; research, create and assess solutions to improve student performance. Analyze areas of strength and weakness for each program; research, create and assess solutions to improve each department. Identify teachers’ and directors’ development needs and develop and coordinate training activities. Conduct monthly staff training meetings based on staff developmental needs with shorter, individualized follow-up sessions. Develop and implement program goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for all Education Services Departments; Recommend and administer policies and procedures for: Learning Center, Computer Lab, Library, Alternative Education, Tutoring, Preschool and Kindergarten, Cultural Heritage, Morongo School and Summer Program. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures – make monthly reports to School Board; recommend appropriate service and staffing levels – for a staff of 35 to 40. Plan, direct, coordinate, and review the work plan for assigned staff; assign work activities, projects, and programs; review and evaluate work products, methods, and procedures; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems. Oversee and participate in the development and administration of the Education Services various budgets.
