Due to another structure change, my Job title has now been changed but responsibilities remain the same.

Due to a restructure in the business my job role and complexity changed. The store was taken from a 2 deputy manager structure to just 1, so I stepped up and took on the role covering all store operation in the Store managers absence and aiding them in the running of the store.

Soon after the opening of the new Branch at Hedge End a vacancy became available for a deputy manager position within store. Having proved myself in the relocation and opening of the new store I was appointed in this position.

The opportunity arose to take a supervisor role at the Hedge End store, I like a challenge so took on the role to further advance my career. This store had already been signed off to be relocated the following year which was great to be involved with from a management perspective, we opened with record availability over our busiest time of year which was a first in the company's history.

Havant, Hampshire

To help further my career I put in for a transfer to the Havant branch, the benefit being it's a large more complex store with a delivery Hub operating out of there. Whilst here I did several roles to better round my knowledge of different areas of the business. Ranging from FLT driver to continue my development with yard and warehouse management, Stock administrator developing stock management skills and Showroom Assistant to understand to more sales driven side of the business and design aspect. Whilst at Havant I was also loaned out to assist with the opening of our Guildford store which was a great experience and very enjoyable to be involved with.

Fareham, Hampshire

I took the opportunity to complete 2 FLT licenses (Counter balance and Reach) this role helped aiding me in the learning of warehouse/yard management and stock rotation.

I started with Wickes as a 16hr contract cashier at our Fareham branch but I flexed up to full time when possible.

Uttoxeter, Staffordshire

This role was a temp position for 3 months over the Christmas period. I enjoyed my time there but at the time it was what it was, a temp position.
