At Illinois Tech's Stuart School of Business, Dr. Allee oversees the student experience from orientation through graduation. The experience includes the Stuart Preterm Program (new student orientation), the Advancing Career and Education Program (workplace readiness), student mentoring programs, academic affairs and advising, career management and employer relations, online student engagement, commencement, and related outcomes assessments.Previously, he served as Assistant Dean of Academic Administration and Student Success from 2020-2024, Director of Educational and Professional Development from 2015-2020, Manager (2012-2015) and now Director (2015-Present) of the Advancing Career and Education Program. Additionally, Dr. Allee was an inaugural member of Illinois Tech's Staff Advisory Council, chosen through a university-wide election, holding the position of vice-chair from 2016-2018 and chair from 2018-2019. As an affiliate faculty member at the Chicago School, he managed the Applied Research Project (ARP) series, taught within both the I/O Psychology and Business Psychology programs, and mentored dissertation students. His doctoral degree was awarded in December 2012 after successfully defending his dissertation entitled, “New Employee Orientation: A Survey of Participant Experiences and Self-Report Outcomes,” in which he researched how certain orientation and training practices might influence an individual's organizational commitment, satisfaction, performance, stress, and intent to leave.
