Profile bio

About Curt Beckmann

I love working with others to invent technology that is profitable and also delivers a social benefit. Many people want to use tech to do social good. I’ve done it in business contexts, nonprofit leadership, and in shaping the ecosystem so technology serves a purpose as well as shareholders. In turning inventions into products, I “hold the vision”, keeping the deliverable aligned to the purpose during the development period. Former CTO EMEA for Brocade, I also “wrote the book” on NVMe over Fibre Channel; less fun than shipping product, but I got to use my business and technical skills to address an information vacuum in the market. Cofounded Appropedia.org in 2007 and Rhapsody Networks in 2000 (acquired by Brocade in 2003), where I share patents for software/ASIC storage virtualization technology.

Listed skills include Product Development, Product Management, Ethernet, Start Ups, and 41 others.
