Slingshot is a for-profit, mentor-apprentice program developed at Spring Arbor University. It’s designed to connect corporations and businesses with our professional and student-based outsourcing services. It enables our corporate partners to source project work, manage overflow and maintain tight control of work that may typically get delayed or produced offshore due to resource, timeline or budget constraints. Slingshot’s offer is unique and based on a staff structure that includes full-time industry professionals and students working side by side.These students are entering a specific technology field upon graduation and will participate in Slingshot in addition to classroom instruction. The program prepares them for full-time work and allows them to immediately contribute to their company. Students gain industry certifications, real-world experience and are mentored by professionals experienced at delivering the service. Through our program, we create well-rounded employees with life skills who are ready to meet the challenges of a corporate environment upon hire.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

ProServ Television, Inc. was a subsidiary to ProSev, Inc. In this branch office of the corporation, we produced a series of sports programming and telecasts appearing on the USA and ESPN Networks. This position was to assist the President—Mr. Robert A. Briner—in all of his travel scheduling, correspondence. This role also allowed me to work with a cadre of advertising agencies to provide commercial programming of television advertisements for these various telecasts. I also assisted the Post-Production of television programming.

Washington D.C. Metro Area

ProServ, Inc. was a major law firm in the Washington, DC downtown that represented professional athletes in tennis, basketball, football, and golf in the 1980s. I provided various jobs and functions for Mr. Donald Dell, CEO of ProServ, Inc. I was his personal assistant. This role also included assisting various jobs in the Public Relations Department for Mr. Joe Steranka.
