I am a Security Officer at Manchester Victoria Station, performing continuous & rigorous security checks of the building to deter & prevent hostile reconnaissance related to terrorism & other criminal activity and to locate unattended items or suspicious packages with the goal of confirming the owner or origin of the object, its contents & whether it poses a threat to the safety of those within the vicinity, taking the appropriate actions to ensure that no harm comes to those travelling or working within the station.

I am casually contracted as a Supervisor for Showsec working security for a variety of venues providing my experience in crowd management, customer service and radio proficiency.I primarily frequent the AO Arena as a member of Access Control or Supervisor, my duties ensuring the safety of the public during ingress and egress of the venue by carrying out frequent checks of the area, ensuring the absence, reporting and disposal of objects and obstructions that would impede access and egress of the venue or risk the health of the public, myself and my colleagues, welfare checks on vulnerable members of the public, those in distress and my colleagues are also an important aspect of my job role to ensure the safety of those visiting the venue along with the safety of my colleagues, in particular those who are working in more isolated static positions around the venue, when not performing such task I observe the public and the area in an effort to identify and address any issues whether they are simple questions or concerns of the public and my colleagues, assisting the public with general information about the venue and its policies and aiding colleagues in customer service situations, security searches and conflict deescalation.Another venue I have frequented is the Etihad Stadium as a member of the Pitch Incursion Team, specialising in the removal of trespassers from the football pitch, ensuring the protection of the players and staff in the area and have worked a diverse number of other venues such as the O2 Apollo, O2 Ritz, Manchester Academies, HOME Theatre and the Lowry Theatre, events such as Parklife, Parades and the Christmas Markets, performing a number of different duties including searches, response, spotting and static guarding which has provided me with a wealth of experience I can utilise personally or train staff placed in my care.

I have worked as a CSR for Palladium on the Metrolink trams and stations across Greater Manchester performing Anti Social Behaviour prevention and customer service on the tram lines by utilising conflict management skills learnt during my Door Supervisor course to communicate with aggressive customers and trespassers on the tram to resolve conflict and prevent violence, while also using and improving my customer service skills to assist customers on the tram regarding questions about the tram service, assisting with ticket machines and helping people find and arrive at their destination.I have frequently worked for Palladium with Metrolink during events at the Etihad Stadium, Old Trafford Football and Cricket Stadiums and the Manchester Arena assisting with crowd control on tram platforms to enforce health and safety, directing customers towards tram platforms and alternative transport to ensure a customer safety, overseeing and directing customers boarding trams to ensure safe usage of all space on the tram so people can get back to their destination as quickly as possible.I also worked for Palladium with Blackpool Transport assisting them with customer services during the Blackpool Lights assisting tourist and customers reach their destination on the Blackpool tram and bus services.
