I specialize as a recruiter in the Transportation industry of the Southeast USA helping top transport engineering professionals find jobs that help take their career to the next level while also helping consultancy firms hire the best people!It was an interesting journey that led me into the world of recruitment. After graduating with a degree in Human Geography I had no idea what direction I wanted my professional life to go in. My father in-law was successful in residential construction, so a logical step was to follow him - after a great two years working side by side and learning invaluable skills, I decided I wanted more stability.What's more stable than being a teacher! I trained for a year to become a Geography teacher and secured a role at a local school as a newly qualified teacher. However, it didn't take long to realise that a teaching career couldn't facilitate my obsession with shiny things, including sports cars... then came along sales...Seeing my wife enjoying the high life working as a recruiter in London it didn't take long for me to join the fun. After a very successful first 2 years in recruitment being a part of the LVI USA team I was offered the opportunity to join the boutique specialist firm RO which changed my perception of how to approach running my own desk in a niche industry. I have now combined everything I learnt from both a large corporation and a small boutique firm to create C&C! I have always dreamt of creating a better future for myself & my family and starting my own niche recruitment agency will hopefully help me achieve that and break the mould that would set out for me :) The beauty of working for not only a small firm but also one that I run is the fact I don't need to work with every possible firm out there in our industry - I can be very selective about my partners - therefore only representing the best firms in the industry that people would want to work for. This also translates for the candidates as well, I don't need to spend my time trying to plug every possible person I speak to into any company I can find - I can now be selective about who I work with from both a candidate and client perspective leading to making a considerably difference in the transportation industry!
