Part-owner of large potato and grain operation in Eastern Pennsylvania. Responsible for crop management and agronomy decisions, input purchasing, grain marketing, and managing chipping potato storages. Developed organizational structure for crop management allowing automated crop planting reporting to government agencies.

The main research project involved a biparental QTL tetraploid mapping population; Using standard phenotypic traits and gene expression, explored the regulation of starch-sugar pathway; Responsible for research on storage traits in processing potatoes including cold induced sweetening, stem end defect, and senescence sweetening; Supervised 3 undergraduate assistants for both field and lab work; Interviewed, hired, and mentored a Promega Youth Apprentice Scholar; Implemented statistical analysis and field plot design; Explored novel phenotyping methods of NIRS model construction for biochemical compounds

Performed basic soil sampling, fertility recommendations, crop scouting, and spraying of potato and grain crops.
