Curtis is a Professional Pilot with 20+ years of experience which touched many different areas of the industry. While serving as an Airline Pilot for a major carrier, he expertly and efficiently conducted flight operations while balancing risk. In previous positions, Curtis has performed some challenging flying including tailwheel flight instruction, back-country research flying, and aeromedical transport. In each of these positions Curtis has been successful in not only flying the airplane but also passing his knowledge to those following in his footsteps.Curtis was fascinated by aviation at a young age, which led to the purchase of a Luscombe project at the age of 15. With the help of his mentor at a local airfield Curtis carefully restored the aircraft to airworthy conditions. Then by assisting with odd jobs for a local tour company, he received flight instruction towards earning his pilot certificates. Curtis’ background also includes training as an electrician’s apprentice in high school and working in the family ranching business raising 1800 head of Gelbvieh/Angus cattle.
