I have retired from McLean County after 34 years this April 2016And have retired from the US Army Reserves 24 years MOS's (many more) CBRNE, Infantry, Mechanics, retired as Command Sergeant Major.McLean County EMA is a very robust group of members mostly volunteers with two paid staff members.We have in my opinion only one of the best search and rescue teams in the State. Our Operations team has now reached 40 strong, including those in SAR, Communications, ARES, K-9 HRD and Tracking.I am most proud of the volunteer members of our Operations team, in which 2 members have their Masters Degree in Emergency Management and several others are looking into doing the same. This gives us a greater advantage during our deployments around the State in supportive rolls with the Unified Command Post and the EMAT trailer. We also have that has joined with us the Illinois Search Dogs and Handlers. They are Certified in K-9 HRD, and Live Find tracking.
