The alignment also includes a horizontally directionally drilled crossing of the Logan River, 2 tunnelled construction installations at creek crossings and installation of section valves, hydrants, air release valves, scour valves and blank offtake tees.Round Mountain Reservoir Outlet Water MainThis project involveed the construction of an approximately 2km long DN375 water main from theRound Mountain reservoir to Red Gum Road, New Beith. This outlet main will addressed water pressure issues in the Tall Timber development area in New Beith, and eliminated the need to build a booster pump station for the development and improve water quality in the Round Mountain water supply zone.The outlet main also enabled the existing Lyndale Road pumps to be decommissioned, providingoperational and maintenance cost savings. The increase in budget has brought forward theproject to benefit from service level improvements and operating cost benefits.The total value of this project was $3.03m and will be complete in 2016.
