Research Assistant working on the SFI-AIB funded COVID-19 project.

Duties included:Whole genome Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) genotyping of DNA utilizing Affymetrix DNA Microarrays protocol.- Deliver results effectively with a focus on clients demands and timelines.- Maintenance on fluid handling machines and various other lab upkeep duties.- Processing samples for species testing.- Conducting PCRs, DNA extractions and clean-ups.

- Attending to the needs of diners (taking and processing orders, keeping front of house tidy and maintaining good customer service standards).- Handling cash from customer payments throughout the day and counting cash at the end of the shift.- Mixing, preparing and selling drinks to customers, performing Barista duties.- Managing the Running staff in daily duties (food delivery, cleaning, waste management)- Preparing function rooms for large parties in terms of decoration and access to facilities.
