Severity ranged from customer confusion to data unavailability. Debugged customer cluster logs and command line output to provide quick and effective solutions to help customers.- Worked with product management and customer support to identify common customer pain points and develop product roadmaps to address them. One project has been productized so far and has a patent pending.- Mentored an intern who has since been hired full-time. This project allowed different hardware to be in the same failure domain by comparing specific hardware attributes rather than marketing terms. A patent is pending for this project.- Integrated a more accurate system reliability model into product. This is used to suggest the data protection level that maximizes storage efficiency and reliability for failure domains. Became SME in data loss modeling.- Upgrade testing uncovered around 3+ bugs that could cause data unavailability. Fixed and back-ported fixes to all impacted software releases to address a common customer pain-point.- Helped extensively with company recruiting. Actively participated in interview cycles as well as a career fair.- Drove test stability fixes for internal test lists and tools. Improved engineer utilization by resolving tests that did not have clear failure modes.

- Rewrote outdated Python functionality in C++ to be fully integrated with internal REST API. This conformed functionality to regular CLI and API requests, and considerably reduced the API’s RAM footprint. Feature functionality enables customers to manually specify data failure domains if it would fit their workflows best.
