I design and code mobile-first games that are fast loading, easy to understand, and difficult to master. My back story:I was always a game developer, even before I had access to a computer I was making up card/sport games and getting everyone to play. Once I turned 13 I got a computer and saw that you can program it and I instantly knew I wanted to be a game coder and that has never changed. I somehow learned how to code even though StackOverflow didn't exist yet. My computer didn't have internet at all! The only source I had was sample programs, and my brother who knew very basic coding. I'd code games and take them to school and play them with my friends on the school computers. There was no coding classes there, and I think I was the only person in all my high school classes (including teachers) who even knew how to code. So I set out to finish high school early and I did when I was 15 years old. When I was in college for Computer Science, my friend and I started a startup. It was a social network site for bloggers. We had no marketing budget but we were able to grow it to having 1 Million unique users per month, and making enough money to pay rent. I was the CTO and had 2 other coders under my direction. We were a happy team and it was going well until Google changed their algorithm and we lost 90% of our traffic overnight.Seeing the writing on the wall, with smartphone apps becoming more popular than websites, I moved up to Silicon Valley to develop apps. I went on to be the lead developer at Sketch Nation. We created the world's only app that allowed you to quickly create a real-time multiplayer game entirely on your phone. The app was used in various schools around the world, with a very active and engaged user base. We had trouble monetizing it though so it was shut down. After that, I took a year off. I wanted to build something off the computer for a couple months. I ended up making what is (as far as I know) the world's only full-size sturdy table made entirely out of Lego. Meaning it has no glue or any other support structure except for regular Lego bricks. And you can sit on it, stand on it and nothing will break. If anyone else has done this let me know! Then I decided to make my own programming language where you can code entirely on your phone. I believe it's the world's only robust block-based programming language for coding on your phone. How robust? I coded a game (Tower Swap) in this language and released it into the App Store and Play Store. It now has 70,000 active players. It grows steadily every month.
