• Started as a Seaman E-1 Recruit: Security watch, member of import emergency team, underway emergency team, general upkeep and maintenance of U.S. warship.• Participated in Counter-Narcotic Operations in South Pacific. Assisting the United States Coast Guard in boarding, searching and seizing vessels suspected in drug trafficking. • Began term as an E-1 seaman recruit and attained the rank of E-4 Petty officer 3rd class during my time in the NAVY. This was through successfully completing the Boastwains’ Mate advancement test and committing myself to extra-curricular activities such as learning the RHIB (rigid hull inflatable boat) boat and its mechanisms and cross-training with other rates (professions) such as firemen, enginemen and gunners-mates.• While in port overseas, served a Petty Officer of the watch and maintained strong security presence as armed and attentive guard. Overseas locations include Panama, Cuba and Ecuador.• As a member of the Command Service Color Guard, participated in the on-boarding ceremonies of U.S. Naval personnel onboarding onto the ship (USS McClusky – FFG41) and the off-boarding of previous commanders (captains).• Active and dedicated member of the USS McClusky (FFG-41) Security Forcs Training Party. Participated in assisting senior members of the force in training fellow shipmates in readiness and preparation to respond to potential and real security threats onboard the ship while in port. This includes armed ship-clearing tactics, non-verbal communication training and identification and basic first-aid training. This team was under the direction of the MA (Master Of Arms) stationed onboard the ship.
