•Instrumental in the decommissioning of 4 data centers, 2 acquired companies and a SCADA facility to make sure the equipment at these sites was shipped back to our support facilities safely and securely. I personally visited all these sites and worked with other corporate teams to assure the equipment decommissioning did not affect production.•Instrumental in the first active security audit of a plant. I worked closely with personnel from the plant to gain their trust and friendship and built the synopsis for review at an executive level with SOX and FERC compliance considered.•Instrumental in the move of the IT-OT interconnect to a datacenter. This involved countless hours after corporate daily activities. Maintained situational and operational awareness for Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) at 16 Defense Enterprise Computing Centers. This includes oversight on 1,400 applications and 4,302 network hardware devices and their related software such as Cisco Nexus NX-OS, Juniper MX and SRX routing platforms, Cisco ASR, Cisco ASA, Juniper Netscreen, Riverbed WAN optimizers, Stingray and F5 web load balancers, and Juniper SA SSL VPN platforms. •Coordinated with the Global Information Infrastructure Services Management Center (GISMC) and Theater Network Operations and Security Center (TNOSC) on outages to resolve technical deficiencies and supported the procurement, management, and sustainment of the strategic portion of the Global Information Grid (GIG). This includes supporting DISA D3 Director level briefings by providing the Global Network Operations and Security Center (GNOSC) with timely information to lessen operational impacts.•Applied Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)-based best practices to assure Information Technology (IT) services align with the needs of business processes and procedures. •Strove to eliminate recurring incidents, and reduce IT support costs by looking for ways to automate processes, policies and tasks to increase staff productivity and consistency and develop and analyze alternatives and cost-benefit analysis for addressing the business needs. Maintain mobile telecommunications’ platforms in support of the Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support Teams. Maintain local area networks wired and wireless and perform upgrades and updates required by the Naval Air Warfare Command, Aircraft Division, National Guard Bureau, and the Trojan Network Control Center. Manage forward deployed platforms and telecommunication’s equipment supply site. Direct instructors and Computer Based Training (CBT) technical writers for the Unified Command Suite, ADVON vehicle and the Analytical Laboratory suite built by the Special Communications Requirements Division on the technical data of the LAN, WLAN and the telecommunications equipment inherent to these suites. COMPANY C, 2/20TH SFG(A) -Maintained continuous communications by HF, FM and TACSAT with the forward operations base, advanced operations base, operational detachments, and attached outstations both secure and non-secure. -Applied acquired military and civilian skills in support of peace-keeping operations during operation Uphold Democracy as part of the special operations task force under the UN mission in Haiti. -Assisted in maintaining a secure and stable government in Miragoane, Haiti to promote free and fair elections. -Taught self-reliance to the local government officials to promote self-sustaining democratic and economic programs. -Directed humanitarian civic assistance projects as an advisor to the mayor of L'Asile while performing duties as an area chief. -Developed close coordination to host government officials with focus on the major electoral officials and host nation police forces to ensure successful presidential elections.
