This program would allow medical students who were committed to primary care specialty to spend one year less in medical school while being granted guaranteed admission to a primary care residency program.✓ The program has become a valuable tool to recruit primary care-focused students since 2014.✓ Supported students accepted into the program and worked with one student over 3 years before graduating and moving on to primary care residency.► Selected from a pool of top-performing physicians to complete The Permanente Medical Group Emerging Leaders program.
