In June 2021 I obtained a First-Class Honours in History after four years of studying at Ulster University. Some of my achievements have included being awarded the John Springhall Prize for best academic dissertation in history 2021/2022, as well as being on the Dean's List twice. Furthermore, I have an International Diploma in Academic Studies after studying business at Ferrum College, Virginia, in 2019/2020. There I also successfully made it onto both the Dean's List (3.0 GPA) and the President's List (4.0 GPA). During my time in the United States I embraced different experiences, such as being a member of a disaster recovery team as part of Spiritual Life, in Wilmington North Carolina.Throughout my academic journey I have engaged in various teaching programmes such as Tutoring in Schools and Peer-Assisted Learning (PAL). As part of the Tutoring in Schools programme in 2018 I assisted five AS-Level history students in preparation for their summer exams. This required weekly lesson planning and monitoring of each students' progress, and being able to tailor the lessons to their needs. This gave me the skills and confidence to enrol myself as a PAL Tutor at Ferrum College in 2019, where I applied the skills gained in 2018 in a one-to-one learning setting with a computer applications student. Providing peer support to a fellow student was a rewarding experience.
