I provided daily network and server administration and technical support for more than 200 users. I coordinated new office telephone and data circuit installations, served as a liaison with other remote offices during communications and data circuit migrations and repairs, and installed, monitored and maintained server systems, firewalls and anti-virus tools.I oversaw Active Directory maintenance and troubleshooting, completed router and switch configurations, performed troubleshooting on WAN/LAN connectivity issues, and supported multiple frame-relay circuits. I implemented projects to improve functional and structural aspects of existing networks. I wrote documentation for project reference and troubleshooting and provided formal and informal systems training to end-users.I designed, purchased equipment, managed and deployed a full L2/L3 infrastructure upgrade for the main office.The original infrastructure comprised of a single Cisco 5500 Catalyst switch and a flat network. My design took them to a pair of Cisco 6500 Catalyst switches (1 per floor) with a 4-port Etherchannel connecting them, 3 vlans with new IP schemas (1 each for desktops, servers, and printers) & associated DNS & DHCP updates/configurations, new Cat5e cabling for the entire building, providing 1Gbps connectivity to all end points. I also successfully completed smaller projects on my own, such as upgrading our firewall software (MS ISA 2004), upgrading from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003 (including new hardware), implementing new email SPAM filtering (Barracuda), upgrading of entire AD infrastructure (physical and logical, from 2000 to 2003), & implementing remote printing to save time for Accounting so someone did not have to drive to another agency/building in town to pick up reports every morning.
