One of New York’s seventy-five Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), the DUMBO Improvement District was founded in 2006 to enhance the neighborhood, working to amplify DUMBO’s creative and innovative vibe.My contracted term with DUMBO BID entailed the communication, collaboration, planning, and execution of social media campaigns and marketing coordination for boosting over 800 organizations in the Dumbo neighborhood. Responsibilities included:• Oversee social media planning and publishing for impactful, timely, engaging and consumer-facing posts related to our neighborhood businesses.• Partner with Dumbo's 800+ organizations (Restaurants, Retailers, Services, Art Organizations, and more) to facilitate cross-promotion of content.• Develop marketing campaigns and content consistent with the neighborhood’s vision, acting as the project manager for new asset creation and weekly creative review meetings.• Manage relationships, deliverables and budgets in the marketing of all associated neighborhood partners.• Coordinate with directors in the DUMBO BID to ensure that strategic objectives are understood in-concept development, and met.• Analyze social trends, including advertising formats, channels, and technologies to positively affect audience growth and key metrics.• Audit DUMBO BID social media channels and provide recommendations for optimization.• Deliver on-site set-up and execution of events sponsored by DUMBO BID, creating and enforcing guidelines for social-distancing, CDC recommended safety measures, and best practices for event success.
