I am a former student at Texas A&M University where I obtained by Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2023. As a rising senior, I was fortunate enough to work as a maintenance engineering intern at Nouryon at the Pasadena site. Through this internship, I gained valuable experience such as creating PM plans for plant equipment, gaining technical knowledge of rotating equipment and instrumentation, identifying bad actors and elimninating them in a cost-effective manner, and assisting to develop a lubrication and vibration analysis program to improve plant reliability. During my senior year at Texas A&M University, I was lucky to have an extremely enjoyable and impactful senior design project with Epiroc Drilling Solutions in Garland, Texas. Our team of six mechanical engineers was tasked with simulating real-world drilling conditions on a blasthole drilling test rig without drilling into the ground. Specifically, the final design was able to input a log file from a customer and produce nearly the exact same response from the test rig without drilling into the ground. Throughout this experience I learned how important teamwork is for success, gained controls engineering knowledge, gained experience in MATLAB and Simulink, and learned how to effectively improvise when obstacles are encountered. Currently, I am working as an EDP rotational engineer for Nouryon in Fort Worth. Nouryon's EDP (Engineering Development Program) develops early career talent through three 12 month rotations in different assignments with a possibility of relocating 3 seperate times. In my first role in Fort Worth I am working as a Maintenance and Reliability Engineer. This assignment involves reducing overall maintenance costs and improving plant reliability. There are several ways this is done including identification and elimination of bad actors, developing efficient PM programs to help with early identification of reliability issues, and providing technical engineering expertise for plant equipment. When I am not at work I enjoy exercising, fishing, and spending time with my family.
