Plan, coordinate, direct and control, all activities related to patient food, marketing, and retail programs.Assist in the preparation of the budget and develop short-term and long-term financial and operational plans for the unit that supports the overall objectives of the company and client.Plan, direct, and coordinate and control resources of the Food Service Department to provide food service for customers, employees and patients.Monitor the performance of the unit through verification and analysis of customer satisfaction systems and financial reports and also initiate corrective action as needed.Recognize and adopt activities appropriate to the specific needs of the patient population and demonstrate knowledge of specific issues directly related to age of patient population.Implemented processes to evaluate test trays, tray times, tray accuracies, food tasting, and portion control to ensure high quality meals served at the appropriate temperature and in an attractive manner.Coordinate and evaluate patient food service standards daily to ensure patient satisfaction with meals and nourishments and initiate action to correct any problems.Implement, revise and maintain work flows for all retail, catering and patient services positions.Confers with the Executive Chef to plan menus for retail and patient food and related activities such retail promotions.Develop and implement retail services plans to improve service, quality and profitability of all service areas. Maintain human resource functions to ensure employee motivation, training and development, wage and benefit administration, and compliance with established labor regulations and personnel policies and procedures.
