But as someone that interacted with Curtis on a daily basis, I was equally impressed with Curtis’ ability to navigate across multiple levels in our company as well as with outside organizations. Always personable, Curtis showed his ability to interact at all levels in the organization…from the C-suite to the front line and from the Governor’s office to a Red Sox outing, he was always respectful and always showed an interest in building an understanding of what was important to all of our stakeholders and showed an interest and understanding in what it takes to communicate to each of these different groups of people. We had a very tough and contentious period with one of our unions. This period lasted six months. Curtis was unflappable during this tough period. Unflappable in the face of abuse and inappropriate behavior, he was also steady and dependable in a period that required 6 or 7-day workweeks and 11 or 12-hour days. This speaks volumes to his commitment to the company. So it is without hesitation that I offer my recommendation for Curtis in an expanded security role as well as for positions in other functions that can take advantage of his strong set of skills and can-do attitude.
