Since I was young I've always had an appreciation for history and how to apply the lessons learned to the future. This love for learning from the past and a skill at mathematics lead me to discover my interest in business and finance. Finance is the art of using past information, accounting, and macro scale elements, economics, to foresee the future business environment. Thus, I've chosen to pursue a B.B.A. with a major in finance at Northwood University. This has evolved into a passion for analyzing the condition of financial statements, and managing the risk a company faces in the market. Throughout my volunteer and education experience I thrive in work environments that have clear goals, and are open to new dynamic ideas to achieve those goals. In that environment I'm able to continually use my organizational and quantitative skills to adapt to new problems and build on the traditions of the company. Within that work environment I can create a team, or build collaboration between diverse business professionals. To create a well rounded perspective to handle a variety of business problems. The main pillar of business is to maximize shareholder value, within the boundaries of ethics and morality. This goal really resonates with me as it provides a clear goal that can be achieved in a variety of ways. Learning the many ways of conducting business and a comprehensive business education is in part why I chose Northwood University. The main factor that lead me to N.U. is the focus on individual freedom and choice that everyone has. The focus on individual freedom and extreme ownership in my decisions drives me to continually improve in education and personally. Within the rapidly changing field of business one of the most valuable traits I bring to my life and a business is my persistence. It doesn't matter if the problem is presented to me or if it is, I enjoy the feeling of showing up early to face a difficult challenge. The feeling of crossing off all the work on the week's to do list and getting even more done is something that has driven me. Beliefs I Embrace - Individual responsibility to choose. - Progress has a price, success is earned. I don't expect people to give me anything, nor do I want them too.-Persistence is the key to success. There are many challenges in the world, but we need to find the grit to work through them to create something great. "Rome wasn't built in a day"
