Led a team of 16 product managers and developers and over 20 remote contract staff in UI design, Information Architecture, interaction design, and content creation. Dotted line management over Product Marketing department included development of presentations and marketing collateral. Tasked by CFO to reduce dependency on outside IT vendors; moved ±90% in-house.In my second year at WebMD, as corporate-wide partner contract manager and alliance manager, lead and mentored a team of 6 Business Managers setting pricing strategy and driving e-commerce revenue through indirect channels. Reported to EVP Business Development, after being promoted to align corporate functions related to joint ventures and 3rd-party partner agreements. Experienced virtually no loss in partner relationships despite consolidating nearly 100 disparate contracts from over ten post-M&A transactions during corporate growth phase following IPO.

Rescued set-top box product severely behind schedule. Created new roadmap, specified software components to meet requirements, re-established working relations with offshore (Cambridge, England) development team, and conducted competitiveness study.After launch, assumed new gatekeeper role for product releases, QA, and content changes. Before successful transition to AOL as “AOL-TV,” represented company for M&A due diligence.

Commissioned to start up self-sustaining team that planned the physical use of over 40 geographically dispersed venues for the 1996 Olympic Games. • Chosen by COO to create, staff, and deliver an Executive Information System in the Central Command Center which operated 24x7 for 6 weeks before and during the Games; played a crucial role working with Committee executives, the FBI, local EMS, and other agencies in the analysis and dissemination of spatial information related to key threats and incidents• Guided Marketing Department regarding website strategy with IBM and contributed compelling content, one such feature received 1,000,000+ hits in its first day online in the weeks before the Atlanta Olympic Games• Directed highly visible and diverse team of approximately 75 planners, project managers, and architects (15 direct reports)• Managed 3-year $5.5M direct budget, including $3M of Value-In-Kind services/products• Recognition for planning effort at the Atlanta Olympics with a cover photo/story in FACILITIES magazine, June 1995
