  I manage and develop, as well as train the users of, the software and hardware systems used by the Waste Operations fleet and back-office administrators. This includes leading on the integration with our website and it's backend CRM in partnership with the Council's Web Development team. I manage the internal data repositories, including conducting validation and auditing and as a result also coordinate the responses to Freedom of Information requests relating to the Waste and Recycling service, and manage the GDPR compliance for data held within the Waste & Recycling service. With my in-depth handling and knowledge of the waste flow and service logistics data, I am also responsible for all statutory reporting responsibilities of the Council’s Waste & Recycling service (including but not limited to: quarterly Municipal Waste returns, individual permitted site returns under Environmental Permitting Regulations, and annual Waste Finance returns). This also enables me to perform statistical work to help inform on current service performance and to aid in decision-making on future service changes and business cases, as well as working with senior management to set the several million pounds budget for the Waste & Recycling Service. I have lead on multiple, and been involved in other, procurement and tendering processes for services, plant equipment, ancillary goods, and software/systems with contract values up to hundreds of thousands of pounds.
