Outward Cartography creates custom, personalized map designs using real world GIS and contour line data and engraves them on a variety of beautiful, functional products for home and bar. I coordinated a remote team of engraving and print shops, marketing professionals, software developers, and virtual assistants to execute the overall brand mission. By leveraging online product and project management tools, I grew business revenue by 150% YoY until I successfully passed the torch to the new owners in late 2020.

Precise Cast Prototypes and Engineering, LLC is an aluminum, zinc, and magnesium casting foundry that specializes in prototype and small volume production. As a Project Engineer, I am responsible for managing the life cycle of many prototyping projects simultaneously. Using SolidWorks, I perform design for manufacturability activities with part function in mind. I do tooling and process design for the prototype parts I receive. On the production side, I have hands-on involvement in establishing and perfecting processes for each casting department. I deliver accurate paperwork to each production department, and track the production schedule to ensure that all projects are shipped on time. Upon completion of First Article products, I am required to perform any in house material testing, and coordinate outsourced testing. Any required Certificates of Compliance are shipped with the products.• Perform design for manufacturability and tooling design using SolidWorks.• Set up and run casting simulations using SolidCast software.• Deliver accurate paperwork to each manufacturing department.• Establish and perfect manufacturing processes in each casting department, and document process with great attention to detail.• Perform in house testing of materials; coordinate outsourced testing.• Complete Certificates of Compliance.• Upon closure of project, ensure all paperwork is updated digitally to accurately reflect engineering changes.

• Assist in the development of new products and processes in pursuit of ISO 13485 certification.• Manage production lifecycle from determining customer requirements, to CAD modeling and 3D printing, to QA of final products.• Coordinate with customers to troubleshoot technical issues with anatomic scan files. • Update LabNet invoicing software to reflect the requirements of the client.• Troubleshoot technical issues with 3D printers.
