Engineering Manager (1991 – 2000)Purchased by ATRIX, I managed and assisted a small engineering team in the development of various microprocessor based hardware products. Oversaw software development projects for remote monitoring, reporting and database management for office machine and Industrial control. Oversaw and participated in the installation and testing of equipment at industrial sites, local and federal government agencies in Washington DC. Trained clientele in use and application of the systems. Managed all vendors. Wrote technical specifications, installation and user manuals. Supported sales by meeting with potential customers and participating in various trade shows. Two new Patents were created at this time: Multipurpose Remote Office Machine Management Systems, 5,673,190 (1997) Industrial machine monitoring, 5,870,698 (1998) Product Engineering (1989 – 1991)The company changed its name to Versalink, We acquired an RF telemetry system and developed new hardware. We developed and implemented a phone based utility monitoring product. Created engineering and manufacturing documentation and supervised drafting of PC Boards. Worked with Manufacturing in the producing new product.EF. JOHNSON COMPANY – Waseca MN. 1979 - 1985Development technician (1982 - 1985) Worked as part of a design team consisting of British engineers and a small group of Americans, developing a hand-held cellular phone. We Developed manufactured and tested hybrid designs on ceramic substrates. Assisted in the development of a custom power and supervisory IC manufactured for the phone. Manufacturing engineering tech (1979 - 1982) Provided technical support for first generation cellular mobile phone, Cell site base stations, UHF and VHF transceivers and accessories on the line and through production test. Developed and built test fixtures to tune and troubleshoot UHF, VHF transceivers, cellular base stations and repeater systems.
