- Select, test, and approve alternate electrical components, due to cost, quality, or obsolescence. Create and maintain schedule to implement- Work with Purchasing Commodity Managers on a daily basis. Learn their concerns and unique challenges- Identify critical components and create sourcing strategies to mitigate supply chain issues.- Work closely with UL, TUV, and ETL/Intertek to develop and maintain Regulatory Compliance Files to medical standards.- Lead engineer on one NPD project, including researching clinical data, creating software specs, implementation of new quality PPAP documentation, Medical Regulatory standard interpretation, and functional testing.- Integrate automated PCB bed-of-nails tester with Labview and create assembly line audible timer with Crouzet PLC- Setup and perform life-cycle and reliability testing, primarily utilizing PLC's.- Learn and utilize Creo 3D CAD and AutoCAD programs for parts and drawings. Use PADS PCB for board design changes.- Pursue and help suppliers solve quality issues stemming from their processes or machines- Suggest and implement multiple work instructions for engineering test reports and change orders- Use Toyota production and problem-solving methods
