About Curt Lowry
Over the last 25 years, my education and professional experiences have universally honed two key skills: Leadership and Achieving. I have encountered success and failure. Trial and error taught me how to approach complex problems, effectively plan in resource constrained environments, manage critical risks, make timely decisions, and accept responsibility for outcomes. My past experiences can be broadly binned into two categories: the Department of Defense (DoD) and Deloitte. I served within the (DoD) for over two decades; primarily leading Special Operations Forces (SOF) teams, applying with precision the military instrument of national power in concert with interagency partners around the world. During this period I operated in the Middle East, the Central Asian States and in numerous countries located in North and West Africa. Upon leaving the military, I leveraged my knowledge and experience as a SOF professional to deliver risk management solutions with Deloitte Consulting’s Government and Public Services (GPS) Supply Chain & Network Operations (SCNO) Practice. My time in management consulting specialized in delivery to industries within the Space, Cyber, and Special Operations Triad. My purpose today is the product of my past. As the Deputy Director of Operations for Onebrief on Fort Liberty, I help the military optimize technology to improve the pace and quality of planning, ultimately increasing the survivability of the warfighter. Onebrief will soon be the operating system of every military staff for the US and our allies around the world. Already employed at the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, and by some of allied partners, it will effect faster, smarter military decisions in order to prevent a recurrence of recent tragedies and sustain the dominance of the US-led alliance system against its totalitarian challengers. Simply put, Onebrief helps leaders lead better and achieve more, which is the nexus of my purpose and past. During my time in the military, I spent a lot of time away from home. In this chapter of my life, I prioritize my time with my family and enjoy being a husband and a father.
