The system was initially accessible via a state of the art 1200 baud modem connection courtesy of our family phone line, a 12ft RS232C cable, the modem in an Execuport300, and an IBM PC (complete with two floppy drives).The system had hundreds of users, consisted of E mail, files to download (all legal of course…), discussion subgroups, and current event bulletins. Accepted payments from users for unlimited downloads.The BBS was mentioned in a Washington Post article as one of the best overall PC BBSs in the Northeast.
