Served as the III Marine Expeditionary Force spokesman on the senior standing executive civilian-military forum between the nations of Japan and the U.S. representing the readiness requirements of over 28,000 Marines and Sailors.

Okinawa, Japan

Supervised a staff of over 30 military, civilian, and contracted support staff, who drafted and oversaw implementation of a campaign plan to oversee partner development of nine ally nations’ armed forces. Drafted and gained approval for the U.S. Marine Corps’ campaign plan to counter the emergence of ISIS in Iraq and Syria.

Commanded the Marine Corps’ only forward deployed artillery regiment of over 1,200 Marines and Sailors stationed in Hawaii and Okinawa. Conducted operations with international militaries of Japan, Korea, Thailand, Philippines, and Australia advancing strategic relationships and building capacity in foreign partner militaries.

Primary military advisor to the Senior Director for Policy development and implementation of planning, policy, operations, and intelligence for the Department of the Navy. In coordination with senior civilian and U.S. Navy and Marine Corps leadership, integrated key policy decisions with interagency partners in intelligence and operations with the purpose.

Directed all speechwriting, personal correspondence, and Congressional testimony statements for the Commandant of the Marine Corps. For the 2006 annual testimony season, drafted the Commandant’s Annual Posture Statement for Congress and wrote opening remarks for the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC), calling for and ultimately receiving a $4.2 billion.
