He started as publisher and producer of customer media/content marketing in 1979. He builded vdBJ/Communicatie Groep.In 1990 Sak van den Boom was one of the founders of Platform Content (Smin).In 1999 he is one of the founders of ICMF, the international platform of content marketing agencies.Sak has written several books about customer media.He has established a special chair for content marketing at the University of Amsterdam. Sak van den Boom is the founder of the annual Customer Media Conference in Amsterdam and the National Coverday.Sak van den Boom (1949) started in 2008 the Customer Media Council (www.marketingtribune.nl/content).Further he travels to do speaches about customer media. He was in Moscow, Tallinn, Ljubljana, Helsinki, Stockholm, Brussels and Johannesburg.He is also travelling to countries to help as a volunteer small publishing companies. He was several times in the Russian Federation, Vietnam and the Ukraine.In 2007 Sak van den Boom get the Lucas Ooms Award for the innovative work he has done to professionalize the custom publishing/content marketing industry in the Netherlands and abroad.In 2013 Sak van den Boom is honoured with the Grand Prix d'Excellence for his great role in the content marketing industry.
