Lead the Architecture, Design and implementation of a next gen Game Server Engine, with support for more than 2K active players per node on minimal hardware, including virtually unlimited horizontal scaling and seamless world traversal. Server was written entirely in Rust, using QUIC, and cap'n'proto with Scylla and Postgres as backing data stores.Also lead the architecture, design and implementation of Avalon's Web3 initiative around digital ownership with in-game loot drops and real time trading. Worked with partner companies to help establish large volume L3 transaction solutions while reducing costs to realistic, profitable levels. Worked with executive team on writing and filing a patent on Digital Ownership.

Assisted in moving the company from seed to post A stage. Highlights include: helped close Series A funding, established engineering culture of technical acumen, safety, inclusion and shipping. Expanded engineering team from 5 to 17 as well as the organization from 13 to 33 in 6 months, with an emphasis on diversity across multiple axis. Facilitated the successful public launch of the Fable platform. Established security and compliance as a first class citizen, continuous deployment and and a culture of ownership across multiple domains. Built 3/6/12/24 month technical roadmaps and strategies.

Highlights include, establishing and managing multiple teams with over 70 reports across 5 domains including, Architecture, Platform Security, Data Intelligence, R&D and Technical Operations. Directly assisted in hiring technical talent, including over 250 engineers in 9 months. Defined and implemented technical strategies and roadmaps for each domain.

Worked in the Applied Machine Learning group at Apple. Day to day, I worked on various classes of problems, generally related to Distributed Computing, Scalability or Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning.

Worked on various parts of the Riak Database, mostly focused on scalability of data services and read/write pipelines. Worked on the conjunction of various third party solutions with Riak (Spark, Redis, Mesos). In addition, I worked on various system improvements around the distributed nature of Riak, including multi-paxos and enhanced/expanded clustering techniques, specifically around cluster metadata.

Collaboratively architected, designed and engineered a mobile passenger/driver hailing platform, using Elixir, Ruby+EventMachine, Node, Riak and Postgres. Responsible for the payments infrastructure including code, components and workflow multiplexing with multiple payment systems.Built TCP/HTTP based API service with multi-tenant service integration capabilities.Implemented Zabbix monitoring solutions, including custom agent integrations for various server components.Provided extensive operational support including service failure diagnosis, Riak and Postgres cluster management/upgrades as well as performance analysis and chaos monkey programs.Assisted with the technology roadmap, industry partnership development, payment strategies, operations, interviewing/hiring and a multitude of other odd tasks (dishes!) that are always part of start-up life.

Guided the technology and strategy behind the Commerce Cloud Service capabilities built for the industry-leading IP Commerce Platform.

Lead Architect responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of multiple platform initiatives, including platform infrastructure, platform extensions and API services for IP Commerce. Responsible for the strategy, architecture and implementation of platform services and interfaces( SOAP and REST) that scaled to more than a billion dollars in transaction volume, with a better than three 9s SLA and thousands of concurrent consumers.Also developed internal code generation tools, inference engine and remotely embeddable payment solutions.
