About Colin Vandercreek

I’m an aerospace engineer who is movtivated by challenges in the areas of aerodynamics and acoustics. These interests and my desire to continually learn drove me to pursue my Ph.D. in aerospace engineering focused on aeroacoustics (defense date: September 2022).From conducting aerodynamic experiments in a wind tunnel, performing acoustic field measurements, or developing acoustic and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations, I am motivated to find answers to technical problems. Complementing my technical background, I pride myself on effectively communicating these results to colleagues and customers.I readily adapt to new situations and am at ease in new environments, as evidenced by living and studying in multiple countries. Furthermore, I have worked effectively with diverse organizations and teams to accomplish project goals.My background is in wind tunnel testing, acoustic beam forming and signal processing, simulations (FEM and CFD), statistical analysis, VTOL aircraft, wind energy, and prototype development.
