Oral Historian
CurrentOral historian based out of New York City. Core services are project development and management, interviewing, writing, editing, research, and content analysis. Current and former clients include the Columbia Center for Oral History (Atlantic Philanthropies Oral History Project, Phoenix House Oral History Project, Tunisian Transition Oral History Project, Robert Rauschenberg Oral History Project), Tina Brown (interviews with writers and editors at the New Yorker about her tenure there), University of California, Santa Cruz (interviews with scholars in the humanities and social sciences, including Hayden White, Jim Clifford, and J. Herman Blake), the Apollo Theater, Brooklyn Historical Society, Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation, and many family clients. Based in New York but have strong client foundations on both coasts, and travel frequently domestically and internationally for work. Experienced lecturer workshop leader in all steps of oral history in practice and in theory, and active nationwide committee member in the Oral History Association; scholar and writer on ethics and best practices in oral history.
