My motivation comes from a desire to make positive community changes. I care deeply about working towards a world where every person has the opportunity to excel and make meaningful contributions that they find rewarding. To learn how to do this more effectively, I enrolled at the Evans School of Public Affairs to study for a master's degree in Public Administration. I intend to use the skills and perspectives gained through education to become more involved in the promotion of agencies and policies that advance progress to a more just and inclusive world.As a Peace Corps volunteer in a small town in rural Uganda, I saw firsthand the impact that non-profit and civil service organizations can have on communities. The quality of governance and community leadership was plain to see, and I finished me service there eager to return home to the Puget Sound and become part of the solution. There are countless challenges that require the hard work and thoughtful collaborations of dedicated individuals. My goal is to work with individuals in various positions as a team member that can make a significant and lasting contribution to my community.
