Responsible for configuring SCATS (coordinated, adaptive traffic signal control system) to improve network operational efficiency, reduce travel time and increase journey time reliability. Implemented complex marriage chains to coordinate neighboring intersections and enhanced SCATS adaptive capabilities by implementing the first instance of STREAMS control over SCATS based on Vehicle Detector Station (VDS) real-time values.

Project Manager with Main Roads WA's contractor DownerMouchel Electrical Services for small to mid scale electrical and ITS projects with a combined value of over $1.5m. Key projects delivered include traffic signal installations and upgrades, wireless communications network installation and the Kwinana Freeway Visibility Warning System (a Main Roads WA first).

I worked on the transition to operations of the new Main Roads WA ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) control system STREAMS. I participated in Factory Acceptance Testing at Transmax (STREAMS software developer) and completed Site Acceptance Testing and System Integration Acceptance Testing on the control system components following the approach of the System Engineering V Model. This upgrade was performed parallel to the existing control system with minimal impact to operations.My involvement as technical system engineer ensured the successful delivery of the new Electronic School Zone Sign Program which deployed ESLS (Electronic Speed Limit Signs) to every school in Western Australia.
