Lead architect for the Enterprise Data Warehouse initiative in the company. Responsible of creating the ODS, data marts and ETL designs. Maintain and monitor all aspects of the data warehouse including performance, availability, backups and security. I’m in charge of all OLAP technology and Cubes development.• Lead architect and developer for the SQL Server Enterprise Data Warehouse.• Full SSIS ETL capabilities are used including logging, auditing and lineage.• Oracle ODI is used to integrate data from the Enterprise Data Warehouse into Oracle EBS. • Develop multidimensional and tabular SSAS Cubes to support all the data analysis for Sales, Finance, Commissions, Products, DSO, Human Capital, Revenue Forecasting and Projects among others.• Excel and Tableau are used as the front end for cubes. The Datamart layer uses dimensional modeling based on Kimball methodology and best practices.• Design documentation library, data dictionary, process documentation and versioning tracing procedures.• Main sources that feeds the Warehouse are Oracle EBS, Planview, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Workday, AS/400, and in-house SQL Server applications.• Technical mentoring for interns and junior developers and DBAs.• We have different tools for reporting that we have adopted overtime. The main reporting front ends are SSRS, Tableau and OBIEE (for real time reporting with Oracle EBS).

Lead and managed all Data Warehousing and BI projects for Centennial Communications in Puerto Rico and United States. Managed a diverse team of contractors who analyzed and visualized critical aspects of the telecommunication’s business using data mining, statistical models, geographical analytics, dashboards, and innovative visualization software. Environment consisted of multi-platform operating systems.• Lead architect and developer for the Data Mart Project (Marketing, Sales and Customer Care) and eventually in charge of the architectural design of the SQL Server Enterprise Data Warehouse.• Moved all users from a decentralized reporting environment to an enterprise-wide reporting experience using Business Objects for reporting models and self-service reporting and SSAS in Excel for analysis. • Managed a diverse team of contractors on-site and offshore that helped maintained all different areas of the Data Warehouse and also monitor the processes off-hours.• Develop a very complex ETL system that combined Unix Korn Shell scripting, Oracle procedure/packages and SSIS as the main ETL orchestrator.• SSAS multidimensional cubes was a critical part of the project because of the amount of data and complexity of the analysis. Churn, Sales and Customer were some of the most significant cubes we created.• Main sources for the Warehouse were AS/400, Prepaid systems Surepay and Oryx (both Oracle platforms), and CRD/EDR sources.• ERWin was use to design and maintain the data models. Microsoft BI stack (2005) was used for the Warehouse, TFS for code management, SSAS for cubes and Business Objects for ad-hoc reporting.• AT&T acquired Centennial and the Warehouse was used as the main data repository for data integration between both companies, and me and my team were responsible of facilitating the data required.
