I have a proven ability to positively bring together diverse stakeholder groups to successfully drive forward significant change programmes. I am a natural active listener, communicator, planner and organiser. I have demonstrated my ability to swiftly mobilise the expertise and effective decision making needed to respond to areas of challenge and deliver positive outcomes.I am a passionate team leader, energised by supporting the success and progression of team members, maximising opportunities for learning across a team and gaining recognition for being a trusted collaborator.I have led on significant programmes within HE including to change the Leeds Metropolitan University name to Leeds Beckett. This involved the careful organisation of activity across the whole of the organisation and its external network. This was a high impact and highly visible strategic programme delivered in a fixed and externally controlled timeframe, closely monitored by senior management and governing body. I led a successful programme with no disruption to University business. This enabled the University to reposition its identity going forward. In the arts sector I have worked for a variety of organisations from art heavy weights White Cube and the South Bank Centre to smaller commissioning organisations and creative networks including Pavilion and Axis. At Culture Forum North I effectively combined my passion and knowledge for the HE and cultural sectors to explore how partnerships between the two could be used to generate new solutions to pressing challenges. Outside of work I have two busy kids. My daughter has connected me to some fabulous people through disability networks and provides buckets full of inspiration with her positive outlook on life.
