Let's chat further!---Courtney (she/her) is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas, and MSSW graduate from the Steve Hicks School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin.Courtney currently supports adults through providing individual and couples counseling services in her current role as a Senior Counselor at Therapy Austin (https://www.therapyaustin.com/counselor-list/courtney-vujcich/). She has been concurrently involved in the non-profit youth empowerment space for several years as a volunteer, a direct service provider, and in management roles focusing on partnerships, advocacy and gender/racial equity, most recently as a Program Manager at Girls Empowerment Network (www.girlsempowermentnetwork.org).Courtney completed her social work masters field practicum at a mental health clinic, providing individual therapy to individuals experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, gender and identity issues, and family and relationship issues. Previously, she has worked with underserved populations in Austin, Texas and Los Angeles County, including pregnant and parenting adolescent women, adolescents in the foster care and the juvenile justice system, and adult individuals experiencing homelessness, severe mental health conditions, physical and behavioral disabilities, and individuals recovering from substance use. She was presented the Certificate of Congressional Recognition for dedication to erasing the stigma of mental illness by the U.S. House of Representatives and California State Senate, and recognized as Volunteer of the Year 2018 by City of Los Angeles, SFVCMHC, Inc. and the Consumer Advisory Council.Prior to entering the field of social work, she worked in the film industry working in production and talent representation, and holds a B.S. in Film/Television Production from Boston University.Outside of work during her self-care time, she enjoys hiking (as a true Coloradan!), bouldering, painting, exploring new food trucks in Austin, and going on long walks with Bucky, her ten pound 'ball of fury' fur baby.
