In the Summer 2024, I competed an "Early Voluntary Rotation" Dr. Wei Vivian Li (Department of Statistics).In Fall 2024, I will rotate with Dr. Morris Maduro (Department of Molecular, Cell and Systems Biology ) and Dr. Maria Ninova (Department of Biochemistry), in addition to starting coursework.

I was a Bioinformatics Specialist in the Integrative Genomics Core, assisting with genomics analysis (microarray and sequencing).

I work in the Michigan Center for Translational Pathology, directed by Dr. Arul Chinnaiyan. I am a bioinformatics analyst assisting with cancer genomics projects. My main project involve using publicly available data to study gene fusions (by comparing copy number calls from SNP chip data to RNA-Seq gene fusion calls), alternative splicing (by validating.

I was a graduate student in the Bioinformatics PhD program, where I studied cancer genomics.I had 3.8 GPA in my coursework.

I develop tools for genomics research, assist researchers with microarray and sequencing analysis.

I do virology research in the lab of Dr. Hua Zhu. I use genomic and genetic tools to characterize genes responsible for pathogenesis in herpesviruses (namely, VZV and CMV). I am also involved with projects related to vaccine development.

I conducted genomics research in the Storey Lab (http://genomics.princeton.edu/storeylab/) and Broach Lab (now at Penn State, http://sites.psu.edu/broach/). Originally enrolled in the PhD program, I incorporated nucleosome positioning information into an existing transcription factor motif prediction algorithm (FIRE) for my Master's thesis.

I did evolutionary genomics research in the Yi Lab (http://yilab.gatech.edu/). I conducted research on prediction RNA secondary structures in yeast, and I studied determinants of molecular clocks in primates. While conducting this research, I also helped train other undergraduate researchers.I also conducted part of my research with funding from an NSF REU.
