Joined a team to support a mission-critical application for field ticketing.Responsibilities include:- Elicitation of business requirements from product champions for enhancements and improvements to the application and workflow- Verification of product test cases- Validation of implemented solutions before production deployment- Providing system support with expertise of the application, infrastructure, system interfaces, and business knowledge- Extraction and analysis of data for internal customer use, system improvement, and identification of trends and issues

My team was responsible for developing a new system to calculate skill profiles for nine of the company's field operation business segments. The team successfully deployed the system to the three largest business segments.

I managed a distributed team (Houston, College Station, and India) of about 15 developers and testers with the successful integration of the drilling segment into the job and resource planning system. I was also responsible for the elicitation of requirements, designing user interfaces, project scheduling, and scope management. This integration allowed the company to coalesce the job and resource planning of the majority of the operational business segments into a single system. In 2011 I managed a distributed team of almost 40 developers and testers after we made a decision to refresh the technical solution of the product.

Designed and developed a system to automate the planning, mobilization, and tracking of jobs for the drilling segment.

As a developer I was responsible for the design, implementation, and installation of web-based and Windows-based applications for a variety of oil/gas, healthcare, and financial clients. As the company moved from staff augmentation to a project-based model I was also responsible for managing several projects. All of this work included customer engagement, requirements elicitation and analysis, project scheduling, change management, risk management, user documentation, and training.

I began my career as a software developer in one of Texaco's upstream and downstream automation teams. My work included the design, implementation, installation, and support of systems which controlled gas flow through pipelines, automated injection wells to improve production yields, and a laboratory control system. As team lead I managed a team of 8 to 12 engineers and software developers responsible for automating upstream operations using embedded control systems.
