-Work with cross functional team to design, test, and manufacture universal switched mode power supplies of various topologies to be used in multiple different product lines, such as robotic cleaners and control systems. Power supplies range from 5W to 200+W and are designed to fit custom needs such as variable output voltage and robustness for pool environment.-Work with cross functional team to modify various control system products to perform new functions. This includes adding Ethernet communication between units, integrating WiFi communication and upgrading memory and processor capabilities.Participated in all aspects of design process including creation of specifications, component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, mechanical packaging, engineering verification testing, design verification testing, environmental testing, long term reliability testing, and component life cycle management.-Test and design products for EMC compliance (radiated and conducted) to FCC/CE standards. Work includes paper design, prototyping, test planning and set up, testing, diagnosis, and solutions to EMC issues.-Responsible for diagnosing and documenting units returned from the field and the production line for failures in order to recognize trends and implement fixes to improve reliability and production yield.
