As the IT Director for USC University Advancement, I am responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership in the development, implementation, and management of the technology infrastructure and services that support the fundraising, alumni relations, and marketing efforts of the university. I am responsible for ensuring that technology solutions are aligned with the university's goals and objectives and meet the needs of the university's stakeholders. As the IT Director, I must have a strong understanding of the latest technology trends and be able to apply them to the university's needs.Responsibilities:• Develop and implement strategic plans for technology infrastructure and services in support of the university's fundraising, alumni relations, and marketing efforts.• Manage and maintain the university's technology infrastructure, including servers, network, security, and software applications.• Develop and manage the IT budget for University Advancement, including capital and operating expenses.• Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure that the university receives the best possible service and support.• Collaborate with other IT teams across the university to ensure that University Advancement's technology needs are met.• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the use of technology within University Advancement, ensuring compliance with university and industry standards.• Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management.• Provide guidance and support to staff within University Advancement on the use of technology to support their work.• Keep up to date with the latest technology trends and innovations, and assess their potential impact on the university's technology infrastructure and services.

As a key member of the University Advancement Department, I provided direct assistance to the IT Director in designing, planning, executing, and managing multiple technologies, while also serving as lead to a team of four IT professionals including a desktop technician, two systems administrators, and one senior security administrator.In addition to the responsibilities of a System Administrator IV, my duties included:• Planning and managing the annual IT budget• Coordinating the process of maintenance renewals for all IT hardware and application software• Handling the maintenance and ordering of all new equipment• Conducting annual security and PCI audits, including SAQ-A, SAQ-B, SAQ-C, and SAQ-AEP• Leading new security initiatives as directed by central ITS, including TPSRM, IAM, USC Policies, and USC Standards• Presenting new designs and solutions to further secure and advance the company’s infrastructure• Building and maintaining strong relationships with VAR’s and the Advancement IT team/Central Advancement.With my expertise and leadership, I played an integral role in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of the University Advancement Department’s IT systems, while proactively identifying and implementing new technologies and best practices to improve efficiency and safeguard against potential threats.

Provide assistance to the University Advancement Department and Alumni Associations Department in designing, planning, executing, and managing several technologies including Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, Active Directory 2008/2012/2016, Microsoft Exchange 2010/2016, Microsoft SQL 2008/2014, VMware ESXi 6.5 clusters, NetApp Storage FAS Systems, Pure Storage All Flash solutions, Checkpoint Firewalls, Citrix NetScaler, file and print servers, Commvault Backup Solution, and Cisco Nexus 10GB networks; in addition, serve as lead to a team of three comprised of two desktop technicians and one systems administrator.Successful projects include:• Migrated 300+ machines into our newly created Active Directory Domain• Migrated 300+ users from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 DAG/CAS Array• Upgraded our Exchange 2010 environment to Exchange 2016• Collapsed our old 2003 Exchange/Active Directory environments• Implemented a new VMware HA/DRS cluster utilizing NetApp NFS & PureStorage iSCSI• Implemented a fully redundant Active/Passive DR site utilizing SRM, NetScalers, and NetApp• Implemented Cisco Nexus 5548 10GB private network with Fabric Extenders• Created a secure site to site VPN tunnel using Checkpoint Firewalls• Upgraded and migrated data from NetApp FAS 2240 to NetApp FAS 3250• Migrated our Backup Solution from BackupExec to Commvault• Implemented Numara Track-It! ticketing solution • Implemented a monitoring solution called SolarWinds for network/application monitoring• Implemented a single repository updating server utilizing WSUS • Implemented IBM LifeCycle Management for 3rd party client patching and asset management• Implemented Varonis DatAdvantage for advanced audit trails and permission remediations • Installed, configured, and deployed Cylance Anti-Virus software• Implemented ALL FLASH storage solution using PureStorage for our VM Environment

During my time at Inter-Rail Transport, I began as an unloader and worked my way up to a supervisor, assistant manager, and eventually was promoted to the role of Safety Manager. As Safety Manager, I was responsible for overseeing the safety and quality of work for five different crews. This included conducting daily safety meetings, performing regular safety and quality audits, and investigating accidents and injuries to determine appropriate corrective actions.Additionally, I was recognized for my networking and computer experience and was given the responsibility of managing our network domain. In this role, I ensured that all computers were free of viruses and troubleshooted various user-oriented problems on PC computers.Through my work at Inter-Rail Transport, I gained valuable skills in communication, management, customer service, and documentation.
