Teaches basic knowledge of codes and proper tool usage.- Reads and interprets and provides •marked up• blueprints / drawings for corrections when needed.- Supports area shift coverage, after hours or extended projects as needed.- Attends and participates in project designs, reviews, Starts- up and shutdowns Stg,Ctg,chp, Hrsz ,High Pressure Industrial Boilers, Pumps, project meetings, final inspections and commissioning.- Participate in disaster/hurricane preparedness list i.e. E1A (Ride out team) or E1B (Recovery team).- In addition to regular shift, provides support/response to the institution that operates 24 hours a day seven days a week.- Attends staff, training and safety meetings.- Identifies and reports safety hazards.- Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.- Performs related duties as required

1) Replaces carbon anodes of electrolytic cells used in processing aluminum or magnesium: Disconnects anode assembly from connector arm, using wrenches.2) Signals OVERHEAD CRANE OPERATOR to lift burned anodes from pot and lower new anode assembly into pot.3) Cleans connector arms, using sandblast hose.4) Fastens anode rod to connector arm, and adjusts assembly to suspend anode in bath.5) Breaks burnt carbon block from steel stubs, using sledgehammer, and unbolts steel stubs from copper rods, using wrench.6) Shovels broken carbon into boxes, and loads rods and stubs on trailers for removal.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
