Devised and implemented numerous improvements to data processing methods and hardware operation.•Technical Sales, Marketing and Client Relations: Developed and presented effective technical and marketing presentations for international trade shows, workshops and meetings with potential customers. Developed technical training curricula for SeaSonde theoretical background and operation. Developed customer service plans for support, data and field services.• People Leadership: Managed five-member SeaSonde® HF RADAR network installation team and coordinated SeaSonde installation and field activities in over 20 countries. • Built an efficient coastal radar network operation (15 station, $200K USD/yr, five part-time engineers) for the Central and Northern California Ocean Observing System (CeNCOOS)• Created a successful model for commercial/academic partnership to provide quality coastal surface current maps to scientists and operational users that cover over 60,000 km2 including San Francisco Bay and National Marine Sanctuaries at Monterey Bay and the Gulf of the Farallones• Developed and managed annual budgets for service, research and software products to NOAA IOOS program office, increasing annual award from <$200K (2014) to over $1M (2018)• Collaborated with CeNCOOS Director and other CeNCOOS PI’s on strategic planning for the HFR network and surface current map data products. • Engaged in outreach with regional stakeholders and decision makers such as Cal OSPR, San Francisco Harbor Safety Committee, U.S. Coast Guard, California State and Federal legislative staff and the California Joint Strategic Advisory Committee (JSAC) on ocean observing.
