Extensive work in the outdoors and in rough terrain and varied weather conditions. Most duties are related to prescribed burning, wildfire suppression, and fire preparedness. These duties include serving as a firefighter or engine operator during prescribed burning and wildfire suppression activities; conducting regular maintenance and repairs on various equipment such as fire engines, tractors, mowers, chain saws, and hand tools; serving as a crew member during fire break preparation which involves rock removal, mowing, trimming, tree and brush removal. Maintain tools used for fire suppression. Conduct inter-agency and intra-agency all-hazard emergency and incident specific planning.

• Work in coordination with the State Committee (SC) Chair, PST, RDD and Committee members and other contractors to assist with operational activities, financial management, training, logistics and other management level support• Monitor and update SC ESGR website and Facebook page to ensure the accuracy and timelines of requisite data entries and overall content• Maintain local Utah database CEI (Civilian Employer Information) • Provide support to the PST and SC Volunteers in the form of administrative, clerical, program administration and coordinate expertise• Assist with monitoring the Employer Recognition and Statement of Support (So) program that recognizes private and public employers, supervisors and managers who have provided supportive work places, employment policies and practices for their Reserve Component (RC) employees• Provide assistance in the implementation of ESGR, EIP and YRRP training programs • Attend and participate with Utah National Guard Family Programs meetings and relay information to fulltime ESGR staff• Enter Statement of Support (SOS) information into ESGR database and local Utah SOS database/spreadsheets • Liaison with Army and Air National Guard and US Reserve military members and assist with employer issues concerning the Uniformed Service Employment and Re-employment Rights Act (USERRA)• Assist with planning and execution of local KC-135 Bosslifts with approximately 75 passengers annually • Integrate ESGR programs into Utah National Guard Yellow Ribbon events
